Warm and satisfying, this home-style dish stews short ribs in a sweet sauce with carrots, spicy peppers and daikon radish. Short ribs, a fatty but rich and flavorful cut of beef, are first simmered in water to melt away some of the fat and to par-cook the beef. Eat this dish with a bowl of plain rice on the side and drizzle some of its delicious sauce over the top of the rice.
