These caramelized sweet potatoes are a common dessert found in Korean Chinese restaurants, but my mother also used to make it at home in Korea. I add a little salt, because it makes them even better. You want to find butter-fleshed Japanese sweet potatoes with purple skin for this dish, and baby ones, if possible, which are even sweeter.
