Put all the ingredients in the top of a bain-marie. Whisk the mixture with a balloon whisk. It will be frothy first of all, but will eventually thicken. When the mixture starts to come away from the sides of the pan, it is ready. Pour the mixture into tall wine glasses and serve with amaretti biscuits.
