Bilberry Sorbet II

Ingredients

  • 450 g/1 lb bilberries
  • icing sugar
  • lemon juice
  • vodka
  • double cream for serving

Method

Cook the berries lightly in a little water. Liquidize them, then sieve them into a bowl. Add icing sugar and lemon juice to taste, plus a half measure of vodka. Stir in well. Churn in an electric ice-cream machine.

Serve with a little extra vodka poured on top and a little fresh double cream.
