I used to despise fresh coriander ... literally couldn’t look at the stuff. And, like the Princess and the Pea, I could detect even the tiniest leaf. This made Thai food a bore, and Indian, too. One day, though, I fell in love. Just like that. Now I couldn’t live without its idiosyncratically metallic charms. I thought I’d try it out on Lola when she was young, to see what she thought.
