Put the butter in a bowl and beat until light and fluffy. Beat in the sugar, milk and brandy, then sift in the icing sugar. Continue beating until well combined and the butter is light and fluffy.

If not using immediately, cover and keep refrigerated for up to 2 days or freeze for up to 2 months.
