  • 280 g/10 oz/ cups green split peas, rinsed

Method

Put the split peas, celeriac, garlic, bay leaf and onion in the slow cooker. Pour over the stock, adding extra to cover the split peas, if necessary, and season with pepper.

Cover the cooker with the lid and cook on HIGH for 5 hours until the split peas are dissolving and the celeriac is very tender. Stir in the vinegar and add the spinach, using a spoon to push it into the soup. Cook,
