Whenever we had company over, we served sausages. My father would head out early Saturday mornings to pick up fresh sausages from a friend who made them. There is nothing better than freshly made sausages, and we looked forward to them all day. My mother would poach them early in the day so they could be grilled just as guests were arriving. You will need 12 metal skewers or pre-soaked bamboo skewers for this dish (soak bamboo skewers for 20 minutes).
