Meat Stew with Vegetables

Combining different meats in one recipe is actually quite common in Macedonian cuisine. This is a very traditional recipe that I learned from my grandfather. It is perhaps a nod to a time when people used whatever was available. There is something really rustic and ancient about this meal that I love, since I know as it has been passed down through generations.
