In the fall, my family spent weekends getting together to make preserves in preparation for the winter months. This medley of vegetables is great to have on hand, and we would quickly go through the jars. My uncle Zivko was the best in the family at making Turshija. As a child, this was the only way my parents could get me to eat cauliflower.
