I must say I really have to be in the mood for these Mediterranean biscuits as they are just so sweet. I do find, though, that once they are plonked in front of me — especially with a cup of Turkish coffee — my resistance waivers. You can vary the nuts in this if you like, just make sure to use good-quality ones that haven’t got bitter skins.
