This delicious Malay salad will bring a little sunshine to your table. Naz, a fantastic chef and friend of mine, taught me how to make this salad when we cooked a meal together in the most beautiful spice garden in Penang. We ate our dinner sitting on a terrace overlooking the ocean, with the sun going down and the air thick with the smell of cardamom, cloves and cinnamon.
