These traditional Mexican bread rolls are not made with sourdough starter in Mexico, of course. That’s my special San Francisco twist! Teleras are oval, about 6 inches (15 cm) long, flatter than a typical bread roll, and have distinctive indentations on top. They are de rigueur for tortas, traditional Mexican sandwiches.
