I’m not really into traditional salads; however this one should be compulsory with the Tartiflette recipe. It’s just a lovely fresh and crisp salad.

  • The ranch dressing tastes much better if made the night before. It will keep for up to four days in the fridge.
  • Make sure your apples are nice and crisp or they can really ruin the salad.


  • 2 Granny Smith apples, cored and sliced
  • 200 g grapes, cut in half
  • 130 g walnuts, toasted
  • 4 celery sticks, finely sliced
  • 70 g rocket or salad leaves
  • 200 ml ranch dressing
  • salt
  • cracked black pepper


Put your apples, grapes, toasted walnuts, celery and salad leaves into a large mixing bowl. Pour over all the ranch dressing, season to taste and use your hands to mix through. Serve immediately.
