No Mother’s Day breakfast or brunch is complete without a beautiful mimosa. Guavas are highly aromatic, with a flavor between pear and strawberry, and a batch of these mimosas will bring a whole new floral and sweet profile to your holiday table.
In a blender, combine 1 cup (240 ml) of the water and the guavas and blend to a smooth pulp. Do not blend too long or the seeds will give the pulp a gritty texture.
Strain the mixture through a fine-mesh sieve into a bowl. If the sieve clogs, stir the pulp with a wooden spoon. Slowly add the remaining 1 cup (235 ml) water to the sieve and continue to strain. Discard the seeds and pulp.
