Growing up in a Greek household, fakes was the annoyingly classic (Greek) Mama-Always-Knows-Best meal. For the rest of you, it was the equivalent of being forced to eat broccoli. It’s funny how one’s taste buds change as you get older. Today, I knock back bowlfuls of fakes with a great big smile on my face. Packed with essential vitamins, proteins, fiber, and good carbs, this meal is the ultimate comfort food. I take back what I said earlier—Mama DOES always know best.
