Preheat a barbecue, chargrill pan or the grill (broiler) to high. If using wooden skewers, soak them in water for at least 10 minutes to prevent them from burning during cooking.
Thread the onion halves onto 4 skewers. Do the same with the other vegetables, then brush with oil on all sides and season well. Cook for 2 minutes on each side, then brush with the Teriyaki Sauce or the Miso Sauce until thickly glazed.
