  • About

In Turkey tripe soup is usually drunk late in the evening. In large towns there are tripe restaurants – işkembeci – which remain open all night. People who have been out drinking make a final call at the tripe house before returning home.

During the Kurban Bayramı, the religious feast of sacrifice tripe soup is made without fail in every home where the ritual of sacrifice has been observed.
