Nevin Halici was born in Konya. She completed her primary and secondary education in Konya. She studied Home Economics and Nutrition at Gazi University, Ankara in 1970-1975. She completed her M.S at Selçuk University in 1991,and her Ph.D. at Gazi University in 1997.
She has written numerous books, articles and papers. Nevin Halici has had exhibitions on Turkish Cuisine, demonstrations as a chef, and also prepared the menus for congresses and seminars.
