Arabacı is a winter dish from Konya in central Anatolia. During the long winter nights, families and neighbours entertain each other regularly, and on some of those occasions arabacı soup and pişmaniye (a particular kind of helva prepared by the male guests) are served. These gatherings are known as arabacı and pişmaniye evenings.
