Un kurabiyesi literally means “made with flour”. It is one of the oldest biscuits.

Ingredients

  • 100 g/ oz butter or margarine
  • 50 g/2

Method

Cream the butter and sugar and then work in the flour to form a smooth dough.

Divide the dough in two. Shape each piece into a long cylinder and cut into 12 slices. Lightly press down with the palm on each slice. Alternatively, cut the dough into 24 pieces and roll in the palm of the hand into balls. Press the middle down with the finger and stick a clove into each one. Place in rows on
