Ayran is often drunk with meals. The consistency can be changed by adding more or less water.

Ingredients

  • 500 g/1 lb thick-set yoghurt
  • 400 ml/14

Method

Put the yoghurt in a bowl and whisk for 1-2 minutes until smooth. Add the water and salt gradually and whisk again for 2 minutes. Ayran can be made in a blender too.
