  • 1 pound shelled nuts (pecans, walnuts or almonds)
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter


    1. Preheat oven to slow (250°F.).

    2. Place the nuts on a baking sheet and pour the butter over them. Toss the nuts or otherwise shift them around in the butter to coat well.

    3. Bake for ten to fifteen minutes, until nuts are crisp and golden brown. Shake the pan occasionally or stir with a spoon to achieve even browning. When the nuts are cool, taste them; if desired, sprinkle with salt.
