  • pounds raw shrimp
  • cups dry white wine
  • ½ teaspoon

Method

  1. Place the shrimp, wine, salt and pepper in a saucepan and bring slowly to a boil. Simmer for five minutes. Drain, reserving the cooking liquid.

  2. Shell and devein the shrimp and cut into bite-size pieces. Melt the butter, blend in the flour, and then gradually stir in the reserved liquid and the milk.

  3. Bring to a boil, stirring, and coo
