Ingredients

  • teaspoons dry mustard
  • ¼ cup butter
  • ¼ cup

Method

  1. Combine the mustard with one teaspoon of cold water and let stand for ten minutes to develop flavor.

  2. Melt the butter in a saucepan and blend in the flour. Gradually add milk. Stir and cook until the sauce is of medium thickness.

  3. Add the salt, mustard mixture, pepper, cheese and lemon juice. Heat only to melt cheese.
