  • 4 large onions, sliced
  • cup olive oil
  • 1 can(6

Method

Sauté the onions in the olive oil until soft. Add the tomato paste, parsley, thyme, bay leaf and garlic and let simmer for thirty minutes. Add remaining ingredients and let simmer until the desired flavor and thickness are attained. If a smooth sauce is preferred, the sauce may be puréed in an electric blender.
