  • About

Ingredients

  • 1 crusty loaf of French or Italian bread
  • Mustard Butter
  • ½ pound prosciutto or other ham, sliced as thin as possible
  • ½ pound thinly sliced Swiss or Gruyère cheese

Method

  1. Slice the bread from one end to the other but do not cut all the way through. Leave one edge of the bread as a “hinge.”

  2. Spread the bread generously with mustard butter and fill the sandwich from one end to the other with ham and cheese. Close the sandwich, slice into individual portions, and serve.
