  • 2 packages active dry yeast or compressed yeast
  • ¼ cup water

Method

  1. Soften active dry yeast in warm water or compressed yeast in lukewarm water.

  2. Mix together the butter, sugar, cardamom, salt and hot milk. Cool until lukewarm. Add the egg, softened yeast and two and one-half cups of the flour. Beat thoroughly.
