  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1Β½ cups water
  • ΒΌ teaspoon aniseeds
  • β…› teaspoon salt
  • Β½ cup fresh orange sections
  • Β½ cup fresh grapefruit sections
  • Β½ cup seeded fresh grape halves
  • Β½ cup diced fresh pears
  • Β½ cup diced unpeeled raw apples
  • Β½ cup diced fresh pineapple


Combine the sugar, water, aniseeds and salt in a saucepan. Mix well, bring to a boil, and cook for three or four minutes. Strain over the mixed fruit, chill, and serve.
