  • About

This is a really simple dish. Frozen peas will be fine if you are not using fresh. Serve it with chicken, guinea fowl, veal or any other white meat.

Ingredients

  • 2 kg fresh peas in their pods, or 1 kg frozen peas
  • 2 carrots<

Method

Prepare the vegetables: shell the peas, slice the carrots finely, cut the lettuce into long slices and peel the onions.

In a heavy-based saucepan, heat the butter and fry the pieces of poitrine.

Add the vegetables and the sugar and stir. Put in enough water to cover, bring to a gentle simmer, cover the pan and cook for about 20 minutes.

Season with salt and pepper
