  • 1 teaspoon olive oil
  • 3 slices bacon, diced
  • 1 medium oni

Method

  1. Heat the oil in a medium saucepan over medium-high heat. Sauté the bacon until it begins to crisp. Decrease the heat to medium, then add the onions and garlic. Sauté until the onions are translucent and very soft, about 10 minutes.
  2. Add the vodka to deglaze the pan and cook for 2 minutes. Add the tomatoes and simmer for 5 minutes. Purée the sauce with a handheld im
