  • About

A delicious digestivo from Luce Galante de Secly, who grows all manner of lemons in her garden in Lecce, including the limoni veraci that she uses for this liqueur. A walk through the garden, with its numerous citrus trees, is a dazzling experience, as is the view from the small gate beyond the oranges, lemons, and citrons where the original Roman theater sits at the edge of the property, confirmation of the importance of the city of Lecce millennia ago. Today Lecce is full of baroque palazzi, villas, and churches sculpted of the local golden stone in the late seventeenth and early eighteenth centuries.
