Bonito is often the main dish for Christmas dinner in Asturias. But this popular dish can be made on any day of the year.
Cut the bonito into steaks about 1½ cm thick, season these with kitchen salt, coat them with flour and fry them in hot oil on both sides until they are golden in colour. Place the fried steaks in a shallow fireproof dish and keep them warm.
