The Tailteann Cookery Book by K. E. Warren was commended to me as one of the few Irish cookery books. I studied a copy of it in the National Library of Ireland and made some amazing discoveries therein, notably a recipe for Stuffed Haddock à la Syrienne, featuring potato balls, which Syrians would be unlikely to make even if they had haddock in their waters, which they don’t.
