Another Eid celebration favourite is kulcheh badami – sweet, nutty biscuits with a crumbly texture that are usually served alongside piles of other traditional sweets to mark the celebratory feast.

Method

Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F) and line a baking tray with baking paper.

Cream the butter and sugar in the bowl of an electric mixer fitted with the paddle attachment until pale and creamy. Add the eggs one at a time, beating between each addition to incorporate well.
