  • About

Fasoolia is a sautéed green bean dish with variations in the cuisines of countries along the Silk Road, from Afghanistan to the Middle East and the Mediterranean. In this recipe, the beans are cooked in a tomato and onion sauce leaving them velvety and tender, but not overly soft. Fasoolia is usually enjoyed with challaw or a palaw rice dish and some yoghurt, or simply with naan flatbread to mop up all the delicious sauce.

This was very tasty. I loved the spice combination giving the food a bite, but at the same time using the green beans worked really well. making the dish light. Often after eating spicy food, I can end up with indigestion, but not so with this curry. It makes generous portions. We have had 5 portions and I estimate we have another 2 portions left. Delicious. Try making it.
