In this sumptuous dessert, crushed caramelized nuts are folded into a quark and whipped cream mixture which is used to fill meringue shells. The pavlovas are then decorated with candied pineapple rings. The recipe looks quite complicated, but all the separate components can be prepared well in advance and then put together shortly before serving.
