Juicy and tart, with a sweet and crunchy granola-type topping, this is as easy to assemble and bake as it is to enjoy. Use old-fashioned porridge oats, not the quick or instant types. The standard crumb topping, if you bake it for a few minutes first, would also be perfect on this crisp. If you want to serve some cream with this crisp, I prefer liquid double cream or crème fraîche to whipped cream.
