Yellow plum sauce is yet another dipping sauce found in Thailand, traditionally enjoyed with fried foods, such as deep-fried shrimp cakes. Yellow plums have a short season, so enjoy them while you can.

Ingredients

  • 200 g yellow plums, stoned and chopped
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 3 small red chillies, des

Method

  1. Put all the ingredients in a pan and slowly bring to the boil. Reduce the heat a little and gently cook until the plums break down to a jam-like consistency.
  2. Leave to cool and serve at room temperature.
