  • 1 tablespoon groundnut oil

Method

  1. Heat both oils in a wok over a high heat. Add the garlic, ginger and black beans and fry for 1 minute.
  2. Add the stock, soy sauce, mirin and sugar, and bring to the boil.
  3. Simmer for 2 minutes, then stir in the cornflour and water mixture until the sauce thickens.
