Ingredients

  • 100 ml water
  • 200 g caster sugar
  • 100 ml

Method

  1. Put the water, sugar and liquid glucose in a heavy-based pan and stir with a wooden spoon until the sugar has dissolved.
  2. Heat the syrup and as soon as it reaches the boil, stop stirring and cook for 1 minute, until a lightly thickened syrup sauce forms.
  3. Remove from the heat, transfer to a bowl and leave to cool.
