In colonial times Black Musk was viewed as a poverty foody a winter emergency dish when stores of meat were gone. That attitude has long since disappeared now that wild rice has become a luxury.
Put the uncooked wild rice in a blender or food processor and process until the grains are broken up into small grits. Combine this with the cornmeal and buckwheat flour.
