In a large skillet, sauté the onions in the sunflower oil until they begin to turn brown. Add the sugar. Cook 1 minute, then add the flour and continue sautéing until the onions become thick and dark colored (about 3 minutes). Thin with the beef stock, then add the mustard. Serve hot over fresh baked Schaumkuche.
