Cardamom-Rose Custard

This custard pie is inspired by luscious Indian desserts that combine rich dairy with rosewater and cardamom, such as kulfi and ras malai. Rosewater can be found at South Asian grocery stores as well as in the specialty sections of larger grocery stores. Dried rose petals can sometimes be found in the bulk tea and spice aisle of health food stores, or from online retailers.
