The New Portuguese Pizza

When I first got to Brazil, I was taken on a whirlwind food tour. After a few days, I wondered if anyone ever ate a salad. Considering how hot the weather was and how heavy the food is, everything I ate was amazing, but I noticed what made the Brazilian palate tick.

Adding eggs to proteins like steak or chicken is standard. So, when I got around to trying the most popular pizzas, I wasn’t surprised by pizza à Portuguesa, aka Portuguesa, or, as we’d say, the Port
