These little bow ties are part of a long list of puff pastry hors d’oeuvres. You might say they come dressed for the occasion, requiring only egg wash and a sprinkling of cumin after they are cut, unlike anchovy sticks and ham and cheese croissants, which are a bit more involved.

Adjust the amount of cumin used to suit your preference. The distinctive warm flavor of the seeds blends well with both Mexican and Middle Eastern dishes. These bow ties should not be restricted to simply a
