  • 1 cup water

Method

  1. Wash rice. Soak in water included in A.
  2. Meanwhile, in a large kettle, combine ingredients included in B and bring rapidly to a boil. Add ingredients included in C and bring rapidly to a boil again. Reduce heat to moderate, cover and boil for 1 hour. Remove chicken and pumpkin pieces. Mash pumpkin and add to kettle.
