  • 2 pounds dressed-weight whole chicken

Method

  1. In an 8-quart kettle, bring to a boil ingredients included in B.
  2. Wash and drain chicken. Add chicken to kettle, together with ingredients included in C. Bring rapidly to a boil. Reduce heat to moderate, cover, and boil for 1 hour.
