  • 2 pounds potatoes, peeled and cubed
  • 1 quart (4 cups) water

Method

  1. Soak potatoes for 10 minutes in water and salt included in A.
  2. Heat fat in a deep pan. Drain potatoes and add. Cover, and cook over moderate heat for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
