Method

  1. Peel plantains, make 3 diagonal superficial gashes on each side and soak in water and salt included in A for ½ hour. Remove and drain.
  2. Melt butter slowly in a frying pan. Add drained plantains and brown lightly over moderate-high heat.
  3. Cover plantains with sugar. Combine vanilla extract with water and pour over plantains. B
